Kovalam Kanyakumari Tour
Kovalam is a beach town found by the Arabian Sea in Kerala, India. Kovalam means a grove of coconuts trees. The village lives true to its name as it offers endless sights of coconut trees. It has three major beaches namely; Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach, Samudra Beach. They are all separated by rocky outcroppings within the 17km coastline. These three beaches form the well known crescent of Kovalam Beach.
Kovalam received its first attention in the 1920s when Regent Maharani Sethu Lakshmi Bayi of Travancore built her beach resort known as Halcyon Castle. It became known when her nephew, the Maharaja of Travancore popularized it. The Europeans discovered the potentiality of the beach in the 1930s. It catapulted into the limelight in the 1970s when the hippies on their way to Ceylon settled in Kovalam. A visit to this beach offers a visitor many advantages. Here is what to expect;

Day 01: Trivandrum-Kovalam
On arrival at the Trivandrum Airport, you are cordially welcomed by our representative. You are driven to Kovalam, a distance of 15km. You check into a hotel. In the evening, you can spend time enjoying the beautiful site of the beach. You spend the night at Kovalam.
Day 02: Kovalam
After breakfast, you proceed for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. At Thiruvananthapuram which was previously known as Trivandrum, you will see an ancient city which dates back to more than 1000 years. At this capital city of Kerala, is a breathtaking seaside metropolis built on seven hills. Located on the west coast, it spreads over 2,192sq km. While on the tour, you get to visit Srichitra Art Gallery, Padmanabhaswami Temple, Napier and the Zoo. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 03: Kovalam- Kanyakumari
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive 100km/3hrs to Kanyakumari. On arrival, check into a hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for more sightseeing. Since Kanyakumari is amply located on the tip of the Indian subcontinent, it represents where the Indian spiritual leader known as Swami Vivekananda, spent a good number of his days in meditation. Some of the ‘must see’ attractions in Kanyakumari include Suchithram Temple, Vivekananda Memorial, Padmanbhapuram Palace, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Trivenisagam and Gandhidham. Evening presents one of the most spectacular sites of the sunset. An overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 04: Kanyakumari- Trivandrum
Begin the lovely day by watching the sunrise. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport, a distance of 100km/3hrs drive. Proceed for the onward journey after an experience of a lifetime.
