Haridwar - Gate of God

Haridwar or Vishnu’s door as it is popularly known by Hindus is situated at the foot slopes of the Shiwalik Hills. This town has temples, Ghats, and ashrams and located right at the place where the river Ganges leaves the Himalayas going across the plains. The town is considered very holy and after every 12 years pilgrims often flock here to commemorate the Kumhb festival by bathing in the holy river. They believe that doing so makes bad luck leave them and instead inviting them good luck. This is also one of the most ancient towns in India.
Day 01: Arrival Haridwar
When visiting Haridwar you can come by airplane or by train depending on your preferred means of travel. You will then proceed to book your hotel. One of the best hotels you can book while here is the Country Inn & Suits. Sleep here for two nights and off course you will like to participate in the Ganga Aarti for leisure.
Day 02: Haridwar-Rishikesh
On your second day here you will want to participate in a Yoga session then later on take a dip in the Ganges. Visiting the bazaars of Haridwar will also be of interest to you. Why not also visit the Mansa Devi and chandi Devi Temple at Haridwar. When you visit Rishikesh you will certainly see Laxman Jhoola and several other Ghats and Ashrams. Here you will be able to participate in Aarti at Parmath Ashram.
Day 03: Haridwar Dep.
Your third day here you may also want to participate in a Yoga session. Taking a holy dip in the Ganges at the private bathing Ghat in Havelli Hari Ganga may interest you. After all these interesting activities you will later leave Haridwar for your next Indian preferred destination.
